Grimsby said she hasn't applied, but I don't think people can have any objections if she were to go the job. There are plenty of men coaching in the women's game and it's not like she hasn't earned a crack at a bigger job.

She's now denied it too, which is a bit of a pity.

Especially as she would've succeeded Mike Newell.

That's probably why the rumour started.
