Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has expressed concern at the spending limitations being placed on him and declared that his club need to buy again now if they are to drive home their ascendancy.
Full story: Independent

The man has spent zillions since he took over... how can he still want more players??

Could be tongue-in-cheek (does he do tongue-in-cheek?) otherwise he's getting his excuses for not winning a big trophy in early doors!

Hardly surprising though is it? Two changing-rooms full of massive multi-millionaire egos - let's face it, most of the players signed by City came for the cash and the glory and there's about 22 of'em. Who'd wanna be the manager?
Most Premier Managers have multi-ethnic/multi-lingual players but not all of them signed to be multi-millionaires and some managers can actually speak English plus one or two other languages. If you can't communicate well what hope is there? I've heard that Mancini doesn't speak to his players - ambience must be great!

Alf Ramsey never used to speak to his players.

Not sure about at club level but Sir Alf certainly spoke to the England players in his squads - used to take'em out for a drink, buy the first round apparently (according to Bobby Moore). Anyway he could speak to them - the point I was trying to make before is that the likes of Mancini find it hard to speak English, let alone the other various languages spoken in your average Premiership team squad these days.
