I know. They had nothing by our standards, but had so much spirit.
By the way, did you see the bit about the prefabs? My aunt lived in one for years. I loved that little house.

We lived in a prefab in hainult for a few years way back,,,then mum and dad was offered a place on broard mead estate which they said thanks but no thanks....

Aaaah pre-fabs ... great little places ..all gone here in South Brum i remember them well when i was a nipper... looked so small but inside there seemed like loads of room ...

The bathroom in my aunt's prefab had a round window, like a porthole. I used to think it was like being on a boat. Based on no evidence at all, of course.
