The Special One
I dislike the bloke, that's a given but setting my own feelings aside can you see the Return Of Mourinho being a logical step for Abramovich and Chelsea? Having apparently fallen out in the past will these two jerks be able to get back to work in harmony again? And the fans (bless their cotton socks), are they likely to be satisfied by the return of Mourinho? The management merry-go-round is crazy for me e.g Ancelotti/Benitez/AVB/Guardiola etc - they are all obviously talented managers yet move on/get moved on after a couple of years in a job - where is the sense in that (aside, of course the ridiculous sums of money they collect when they pass "Go")?
So is The Special One to be expected back in English football soon? I was happy when he left and didn't mind hearing about his self-promotioning in Italy or Spain - I just got a touch weary of The Mourinho Show at Chelsea before, is it all coming back? I truly hope not!

Re: The Special One
Oh well, looks like we'll have to put up with Ole-ShIte-Head aka The Special One again.
The Rael Madrid fans I know dislike him and are extremely happy to see the back of him - I don't know any Chelsea fans but I believe they're anticipating a successful "Second Coming" - I think (and hope) they're in for a disappointment!

New manager at Citeh
No Fergie, Moyes to crack under pressure
Everton fall to pieces
Villa narrowly avoid relegation for the third season
its gonna be a rollercoaster ride

A poignant reminder of someone truly special who's been missing this season.
I came on here to wonder at how Mourinho (aka The Special One/The Happy One) is feeling, given that he probably won't be actually winning anything this season - certainly not the CL and probably not the English championship either. At what stage will he become, to use his words, "A specialist in failure", one wonders?

I thought the fact that Athletico's goalie played an absolute blinder and is on loan from Chelsea was rather hilarious.

After about 9 years of winning feck all even with some great players at his disposal, I would imagine. That seems about right.

Re: The Special One
Well I for one hope Mourinho keeps his word, sooner rather than later. He said (promised?) he would quit the job of Chelsea manager if he didn't win trophies. One year and counting!

He's a man of his word. An honourable man. No way would he stick around for as long as Mr. Wenger if he wasn't delivering silverware.

Yes, indeed and what a shame so many people have drifted away from jwned. We had some funny times, some healthy discussion and some rows but people got over that.
It's a measure of the contribution Beds made that even today her post count is over 10,000 more than any other contributor. That's a big miss !!!!
Bully and many others are sorely missed too. Not to forget that many of the Villa boys found themselves with nothing to talk about, beyond wanting to kill their American owner and another jock manager. One of them, who shall remain nameless, even transferred his allegiance to Liverpool and what a kiss of death that's turned out to be.
So maybe it's not the players, the manager or the boss that's the problem. Could be it's the supporters !!!
Anyway, whatever, jwned lives, JUST.
RIP Beds and maybe some of you who look in from time to time might like to leave a little hello on the forum.

The Special One is working his magic already. Is there any doubt at all that he is the best manager in the premiership?

No there isn't.
Not among sane people who aren't irrationally biased against him anyway. I'm with the Viler on this one.
