Arsenal v Man City, the early match on Saturday could set the tone for our season. OK, we've beaten City in the Community Shield but now it's the real one at our place. Not sure who'll start but I fancy a win, come on Arsenal!

Have they brought the BIG MATCH back then???? Wow sunday afternoons after a visit to the pub and a good lump of roast beef rain hammering on the windows and settle down to watch some crappy game usually with Liverpool...

Oh the nostalgia of it all

Exactly - those were the days - plus I invariably used to kip off after the match (the results of the drinks in the pub followed but the Sunday roast)!

A few pints of real ale, sunday roast, the big match, then take over the settee and fart your way to an empty lounge and peace. Memories are made of this. Very Happy Very Happy

Very very good result result for the gooners that. No wonder Peli was in a tiz about the ref, Man City was well robbed there innit.

Was that the same referee who let Peli's boys kick shit out of The Arsenal throughout the match? cyclops

The next Big Match is Tottingham at The Grove. Do you think they're wetting themselves already or will that only start after their League Cup match tonight?
Can't wait to give Tottingham a seeing-to TBH - it'll be a battle (as always) but I can't see anything but a decent win for The Arsenal!

And that was a hugely disappointing game. TBH I didn't understand the starting line-up (why no Alexis?) although it was good to see The Ox start but aside from us having more of the ball, creating more scoring chances, having more shots on goal we managed to give one away and "escape" with a draw! We are the draw specialists this season, still unbeaten in the Premier League but having won only twice in six games! It could've been worse, I suppose but losing to the Spuds is unthinkable!

I didn't see this before I posted about Sanchez on the other thread. I just cannot fathom why you pay £35m for a player and then don't play him in what is one of the most important games in the season.
Tactics? What fecking tactics. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
