I don't care what they do, I really don't. The Peroncil woman seems to have gone to ground - is she licking her wounds, so to speak? Her wannabe WAG campaign has taken a bit of a knock and I can't imagine she's got too many female friends either.

Let's be fair, Wayne Bridge isn't the player he used to be and he wont be missed that much by England, we have both Warnock and Baines who I feel are as good as him, but lets just hope that Ashley Cole get's fit for the summer.

I am amazed at this i really am, for him to come out now and make this statement effectively ending his England career is incredible to say the least and shows this runs very deep.
Anybody on here that's played football or otherwise in relation to team spirit will agree with the point of just how divisive this is, the team will now be split without doubt as there always is there will be members of the squad that will agree with Bridge and members that will agree with Terry that won't agree with the players that side with Bridge, IMO, Capello unfortunately has to remove the catalyst which is John Terry or the wound will fester, and despite the deluge of sound bites that will come out of the camp that everything is cool and despite the fact that the respective managers at Man City and Chelsea will instruct the players to shake hands, this runs deep. Capello has a major problem, he must remove the media interest, he must remove any animosity and he must now remove Terry or he will show side. If he don't this could easily go all the the way to the pressure point that arise in South Africa.

I recall reading somewhere that EBJT is not exactly a popular figure in the England camp anyway - and this was before the latest stuff. Still, not having Bridge won't make much difference team-wise, unless he was a popular figure in the group which might make matters a bit touchy. EBJT is no longer captain so the effect should be minimal.
It might prove interesting this weekend if both Terry and Bridge are in their respective teams. If Bridge is carrying a massive grudge, well, he might just want to look after Terry at the corner kicks, eh?

Regardless of whether you do or don't rate Bridge we have a situation here where a player is giving up the chance of representing his country in the biggest competition because of his former best mate shafting his ex missus, who is also the mother of his son.Terry ought to show some dignity and offer his resignation from the England team.We don't know what the other squad members are thinking. There's bound to be folks in the squad who are more matey with Bridge than Terry, ho will they react to him. What would've happened had it not been Bridge's missus and instead, Gerrard's or Rooney's missus he was slipping?

QB: Bang on the button, as me your clearly are aware of how blokes can be within a team atmosphere, bombastic or bitchy doesn't go anywhere near the kind of backlash that can happen, what has to happen IMO is as you mention Capello must get Terry to one side and make clear to him he must offer his resignation, to remove the focal point of both these players and to cement the team, after all if neither are there then neither can be blamed, Bridge also in making this move becomes the injured yet justified party, for Terry to remain then the offender becomes victories, people then watch the England game with a defender with a very smeared reputation, don't get me wrong I'm a Terry fan.
IMO, Capello has hours to act on this or it will become bigger, my impression is Bridge knows if Terry is decent he will resign so therefore he's stuck the knife in, you can sh*g my misses but you can bet there will be a price to pay.
Thought David James response was interesting tonight, very short an he came form a different angle, he brought into the argument the fact that Bridge must do what Bridge must do, as for me he said I like working with Capello and his staff, so that gives you another point to this.

EZ:
Don't get me wrong when i say this EZ, thats the differance between someone not knowing the value of team spirit and being under the illusion that you can just chuck a team together and knowing the value that you may not have the best players in the world but they all fight together and for each other, priceless.

Capello will sort out any troubles I reckon. If it looks like threatening the World Cup bid, he'll boot Terry out the team.

Lets just for a minute say that you and Mrs V parted company. You moved out of the family home and pretty soon after your best mate is around there giving her his 'sympathy' whilst your son is happily playing in his bedroom because uncle Tristan is here again. Are you seriously telling me you'd be ok with that?

If it meant playing for my country, I'd be a fooking man about it, call ebjt and say " listen you were out of order but the world cup and representing our country is more important than you poking my ex. Done. Presently he is acting like a baby and I'm suprised you're sticking up for him. Not suprised that Luton is though.
