Giovanni Trapattoni
An Italian manager with a CV that makes Capello look like a joke..
The guy is doing an excellent job in charge of probably the worst Republic team in over a decade.. Unbeaten in there group and with a great chance of making the play offs..
Just goes to show class is permanent!

Definately.
Like you say, its one of the weakest Irish squads for a while, but he has them playing well as a team and getting some decent results in the group already.
Looks like Italy will win the group (as expected), but 2nd place is definately there for the taking

Had one season at Benfica and won the league - the only time they have done so in the last 15 years

i wouldnt say this is the worst irish team in over a decade the team is young but full of decent players that are only lacking expierance. if anything this is a better squad than 4 years ago where we had alot of players that where getting into the team because of their expierance at international level rather than them being good enough we just didnt have the players comeing through then.
as much as steve stauntan got roasted in his tenure as "boss" he did get the ball rolling by bringing in these younger but unknown players through and trapatonni has taken them to the next level.

Gareth, Lion is loving life at the minute as the gay cruise comes in near him every so often, so he can fulfill his dreams.
Hope you are keeping well, was reading recently that Martin O'Neill was at Distillery, or was it Linfield?

I've infiltrated some very dodgy places to try & let people know about us.
I take it that like me & Lutes you don't check Facebook too often?
