He was, primarily, a scrabble player but also doubled as a penist.

I well remember that - Tony Butler also used it for his phone in show

It was recorded by "Hurricane" Smith - who was in fact Norman Smith who worked as a producer on many of the Beatles recordings - he died about a year ago

There was certainly a great atmosphere when the team came out to that tune, even if the football was a bit one dimensional :).

There have been some truly dire football team records over the years and that one is a serious contender

Did you know that the only person who ever appeared on the same Top of the Pops "singing" on two different songs was Steve Archibald one with Spurs and the other with the Scotland World Cup squad

Not a lot of people know that
