Re: Intermarket confirm bid
I heard intermarket has 2 main investors, a source from Finland and a cockney who moves about alot.....Mind you, I'm all for it if Mark is in charge of player sales......he seems to make 500Euros fro every £

Re: Intermarket confirm bid
I don't know if you know this, but Intermarket apparently missed a dealine to prove they had the funds available for the takeover yesterday. It transpires that their CEO, Jim Bowe, died suddenly on Sunday.
Only at West Ham......

Re: Intermarket confirm bid
I'd rather have Tony Fernandes. He's a Hammer's fan and fecking loaded.

Re: Intermarket confirm bid
Forgot to post this after the Arsenal game but -
1 0. West ham beating arsenal. Great half from the young hammers. Soon they will have an owner who will make a difference and care
From Tony Fernandes' Twitter page. Apparently he's attended every home game this season too..

Re: Intermarket confirm bid
Was talking to my director yesterday who is a West Ham fan. Is Fernandes not the bloke who has been saying things for ages, but never come up and shown he has the money? Really dont know, but he did say there were 3 involved and one of them was slow in coming forward

Re: Intermarket confirm bid
I'm not sure about Fernandes. I did hear a rumour that he's joined forces with the Intemarket consortium. Too many bloody rumours.

Re: Intermarket confirm bid
I did a bit of research into Fernandes and he does loads for Malaysian football, and is one of the backers to get the World Cup there. He's a real footballing man.

Re: Intermarket confirm bid
Everywhere has different rumours
Sounds to me like Gilbert & Sullivan have the money but don't wana pay full price (small transfer kitty this month though), Intermarket have been fannying about (plus the death) but seem to nearly have it sorted (and have promised a decent transfer kitty this month....if theres any month left), and Tony seems to have good intentions but the rumour mill says he hasn't shown proof he has any money
SIGH.... oh to be a Hammer

Re: Intermarket confirm bid
As you say, Fernandes has a lot to say and I hope he can back it up. We really don't want another owner going belly up, do we? I'd like to know who is behind the Intermarket bid. Intermarket are apparently just brokering the deal. And G&S would still leave half the club in Straumur control.

I'm getting a bit of an issue with Twitter. C4 news last night was on about Alistair Darling tweeting disparagingly about a journalist. I can't take it seriously.

Me neither, I only really use it to follow musicians for updates but I'm thinking it's only Fernandes and Intermarket left going by that. I don't think G&S are prepared to pay the £80-100m quoted.

Re: Intermarket confirm bid
Twitter lacks gravitas for me. Fernandes seem to be using every method he can to publicise his bid and I do wonder if I can detect a whiff of bulldoody.
2 reasons why I'm not keen on G & S. First, the porn link. Call me old fashioned, but I think the club could do without all that just now. And second, their bid would still leave Straumur owning 50% of the club. I don't like that idea at all.
This needs to be sorted in the next few days while the transfer window's still open.

Re: Intermarket confirm bid
Sky Sports have now confirmed that Cellino has joined the bidding, and according to the Italian media, it's a done deal. It's a funny old world, innit?

Re: Intermarket confirm bid
28 managers in 18 years, apparently.
The takeover thread on KUMB has gone into meltdown. Never has so much speculative bollox been spoken by so few. Even on jwned....
To my mind, this muddies the water. We need to be sold before the end of the transfer window.
