Re: What a difference 6 points make
We need Arsenal to beat Man City then we have to beat Man City away..
nWith Spurs goal difference they need to drop sevem points.. even if they draw or lose to United we still need them to lose to Man City and drop points against one of Bolton or Burnley..
A hell of a lot of things have to go for us to finish 4th!

Re: What a difference 6 points make
Whoever misses out on 4th spot can count themselves unlucky this season with the amount of points they've accrued. If I remember correctly Everton got 4th in 04/05 with 59 or 60 points and this season 70 points may not even be enough.Fair to say the gap is closing at the top and also the gap between the top 8 and the rest has increased massively

QB, do you think that is partly because the bottom clubs have been so shite though? Heard on the radio that West Ham are quite likely to stay up with the lowest number of points in doing so.

another season of what ifs with us, there has been a few home games that we really should be winning where we have got a draw, if we had just beaten wolves and sunderland for instance we would be in a great position.

I'm sure Spurs feel the same about their home games to Wolves and Stoke etc, there are always going to be games like that through the season.
No doubt that our home form needs to improve, but our points total at this stage of the season is very good, I don't think we will make Champions League this season, but all is not lost, Man U look like there are not the team they used to be, Liverpool, who knows what will happen there, and there is a good chance that Arsenal could lose Fàbregas.

It's the amount of draws we've had that have done us.We've lost less (or the same) games as Chelsea and whilst it's a fair comment that dropped home points to West Ham,Wolves,Sunderland and Wigan have cost us i doubt there were many folks who thought we'd take 11 points from the Sky 4 teams this season. It's been an odd season in many ways. Can't remember us getting this many points in years yet there is still teh possibility that we could finish 7th

3 more points and it's our highest points total since the league became 20 team league, in fact. When we came 2nd, in the first Premier League season, we only had 74 points, and that was in a 22 team league. Shows how much it has changed.

Re: What a difference 6 points make
Its been an odd season all round. Spuds have dropped points in some of the daftest ways and taken points where you often wouldn't expect it.
The top three have also dropped points this season where you wouldnt have expected it in the past.
IT makes for a better league now..

Not really Lutes.. a draw or a defeat doesnt make a difference.. we still need to beat them and win the other two games due to goal difference etc..

Beat the sty dwellers and we are still stuffed, I fear. Never mind, just beat the noses and get on with things. MON should stay, the twats who never go to games who are the vocal ones on forums should be treated as such. Who will do better for the club?

Win today and heap the pressure on the Spuds. We're the outsiders but at leastlets make them win every game.
