Technically the lad is gifted but there's something there I don't like character-wise. Can't put my finger on it but there you go. My guess is he'll join 'Arry at White Hart Lane (unless he doesn't like 'Arry) - if he came to The Arsenal it would remind me a bit of when Alan Hudson joined us way back when - a clever player but, again, character-wise not ideal.

You are right... he only speaks when there is something in it for him... but why say that he has signed for some other team? It will only lead to press speculation as to where he is going...

Meanwhile I understand the Joe Cole-to-Arsenal transfer is already done-and-dusted with a 3-year deal in place. Not sure I approve - the lad's got good technical skills but he pulls his shorts up too high for my liking and he's a bit of an iffy character. We'll see!

If it's true, then you'll love him by the end of the season. Very good player, great bloke.
