You sure its not like your Ahsley Young type gossip
Not sure.. could be a good signing.. would prefer someone who is out an out but wiht Oneils imagination in the transfer market then it will be someone like Robbie Keane..

Re: Robbie Keane
I think 1 main striker suits us well with Gabby, not sure about Keane, but maybe he could play in the hole,

A couple of years ago i'd have been delighted to get Keane at the Villa but last time i saw him in a Spurs shirt he looked like his legs had gone.If we get him i hope he proves otherwise

I think he still has the ability. He seems to be unsettled again.
Before we got him he had been to a club a season for 5 years. I dont quite know how we managed to get him to stay for so long.

Re: Robbie Keane
For me he isn't the player he once was but I still think he has the ability to be a decent player. If true its a very 'Villa' signing - sort of hoping for the best.

Totally agree - what the fcek is MON thinking about, we should only be buying players that we KNOW 110% are going to be a success,

He turned Villa down previously.
When?
The only time i know that we were close to signing him was when we offered Wolves £5.5m and he went to Coventry for £6m.Mind you Gregory made up for that feck up by signing Balaban......................

Guess I would be reasonably happy with Robbie Keane, typical safe signing but if it was for the right money, I think he would work well with Agbonalhor.

Re: Robbie Keane
ROT, I reckon Ashley could do a great job in the hole behind the striker. I know it was only pre season, but do you remember the game v Inter Milan

I completely agree, I'm suprised that MON didn't try it at times last season. Especially at times when we were playing against the bigger teams and considering he has tried it before.
When we signed him, he used to play him off Carew as well so now he has more experience, am really suprised we haven't tried it again.
