1-0 down to a screamer...missed a pen and had a goals disallowed for offside when Ash Young was onside..

Carew shouldnt take penalties.. never been confident in him.. just blasts the ball as hard as he can really..

Fallen to bits like a bunch of bitches. Newcastle are snapping in at the tackle and ours powder puffs are jumping out of them.
When Ashley has a bad day, boy does he have one.

Will see what McDonalds team talk will bring, fecking awful embarassment.

Hmmm.. well results like these do happen..

But we def need to get a manager in and do some wheeling and dealing before the window shuts.. every club does it.. for some reason since Oneil joined we dont buy anyone untill we have done a full security check on him and even check if he doesnt have points on his licensce..

Also games like these highlight that if you play with two wingers u def have to have a ball winner in the middle of the park..

Barton Nolan and Smith have less pace then Lutes yet there all over us..

Having said that we missed a penalty and Young wasnt offside for the goal.. so lets hope we can get some goals in the second half..

If we get one early in the second half, it could spur the team on to get something out of this game.

Shit football from a naive team versus a team that have grabbed the midfield from our flowery sweethearts and and played some nice passing football thats cutting our back 4 open at will almost.

Nothing up front whatsoever, we can cry all day about friggin disallowed this and bollox that, but basically shit.

Is Ireland actually going to get his finger our and do something.

One mistake Lion. He is probably the least guilty at the moment. Ireland is lost in the middle, being hounded by Barton and Smith. Albrighton like a 9 year old, endlessly ball chasing and today looks out of his depth. Carew completely isolated as very little coming from Downing and the abismal Ashley Young.

W**kers the lot of em, Sack the Board, McDonald out and the Yank who declared that Villa have contacted him regards the job can feck off and all.

Hagler

I thought he would have done well today - he has all the build of a Sunday footballer

They probably pick him up on a Pub car park with his boots tied together hanging around his neck

That Enrique looks like a top LB.. might be having the game of his life or he looks a really good player..

The way we are set up.. these results will happen from time to time.. was 5-0 two seasons ago.. 7-1 last season.. when we are good we are good.. but when we get cut apart we can collapse..

Im still hoping for an early goal and then we show our qaulity and look to get back into it..

Only thing that sticks with me is that we have players on the bench on big wages who cant seem to come on and influence a game.. Mad

The problem is our midefield.. games are won there.. whoever wins the midfield battle normally wins the game.. we have a team that doesnt have a ball winner or a player who can play a through ball.. someone who can nit the play betweeen the wingers and front line.. thats why there are games we come unstuck in and look a joke in..

Until we get tough and address these issues then we will struglle.. having said that with Reo and Sidwell sitting on phat contracts that no other club wants to take on then we are in touble..

We still need a goal poacher too.. Carew and Gabby arent that..

5-0!!!! Shocked Mad Mad

Oh well atleast the squad is good enough and McDonald is the man for the job brigade will realise that we need a proper manager and lets leave McDonald incharge of bring the youth thru that he has done really effectively..

To be honest this is humiliating.. they have dominated since making it 2-0... we have won **** all in the air.. i wonder if thats the reason Oneil played Cuellar at RB.. just a thought...

Obscene......

Said it before, I could easily see Villa fighting for points around the lower third.

You simply cannot throw boys in like Albrighton and Clark against players like Smith and Barton and expect them to come out tops...will never happen...

We have lost a quality player in Milner for a potential good bench warmer, although until we get quality back in the side as in Gabby up front i reserve judgement on that.

Hard season ahead unless we get the right manager and a good holding midfielder to battle for the ball and direct play..

In a word...Crap.

6 goals without reply to a newly promoted side full of Championship players even a Wayne Routledge that couldnt warm our bench half the time.
It was shite beyond belief, but the most concerning thing is even with some very average players gracing our squad these boys have no heart or battle in them at all. As soon as Newcastle started hustling and winning the tackles the game was up, there is no excuse for lack of heart and commitment even if the football isnt quite coming off.
They came out 2nd half worse than they went in and all the bullshit coming from Petrov and Warnnock during the week regards playing for McDonald and how wonderful they think he is, load of old crap. They embarassed him, themselves and AVFC today.

You've answered the question.

These we hard drilled players out the Championship that can easily play at Premiership level.

Clark was obliterated as was Albrighton, but you can't blame these kids and you can't throw all the blame at Clark.

Another point before we get the usual Villa fan tirade KM brought on Heskey instead of Fonz, that's 2 managers that prefer even a player as bad as Heskey to Fonz, so we shouldn't get carried away there either.

Villa have problems, had the same problems last season, but MON was the glue that held it together, he's gone and the results are now evident to everybody.

We have to get Gabby back and putting pressure on the opposition defence and taking pressure of us in midfield, Young is nowhere without Gabby. Villa have problems, it really is that simple.

Dont remember that glue being particularly adhesive at Stamford Bridge when Villa had their worst result in 70 years or in never finishing higher than DOL
