Has the standard gone up or down in one's opinions?

Down or maybes there too much football on tv so you get used to watching it all the time and dont look forward to one game a week like before..

I think teams are a lot more defensive now a days and more scared of losing then wanting to win, games seemed a lot more open 10years ago

AVFC is correct, I think the fear of losing is making the Prem less attractive. We need to make Portugese coaches mandatory and have Lady Lion in charge at the FA

I believe the standard of football is improving all the time in the Prem. There may not be as many individually brilliant players today but the team-play is at a pretty good level. Where the technical ability is at a lower level teams use speed and strength and I think the game is faster than ever. I certainly don't think standards have dropped in general.

The gap between Premiership and Championship is closing too with parachute payments.

There seems to have been more goals scored in the premiership so far this season than before though?

I think that there is to much football and that's why we lose a bit of interst, and as for the Champions League, I don't even bother watching that until it's out the group stages as it's so boring.

I just can't get motivated for it this season.Last season i was a lot busier and that was my excuse for not going.This season i've admitted to myself that i just can't be arsed

I heard yesterday that only 13,000 seats have been sold for so far, it will be like a regular day at st andrews.
