.Pink suit man, Sunderland v Aston Villa, October 2010

Sunderland's match against Aston Villa at the weekend was livened up by the fan who invaded the pitch dressed in a skin-tight, bright pink bodysuit.

The hosts won the match 1-0 thanks to a brilliantly-timed strike from Richard Dunne; unfortunately for the Villa defender, his crisp shot put the ball into the back of his own net. What he would have given for an all-pink bodysuit in which to slink off in shame...

Either way, pink suit man made for one of the most memorable pitch invasions for some time, and immediately resurrected fond memories of another Sunderland 'pitch invader': last season's Liverpool-branded beach ball flying on to the pitch and leading to a deflected goal which was credited with single-handedly destroying Liverpool's season and ending Rafael Benitez's tenure as Reds manager.
