Some of the Villainies elder tribe were having the 'money is/has ruined the game' chat over Christmas. The concensus was that Chelsea/ Man C have ruined everything and now pandora's box has been opened nothing can reverse the situation.

My take on it is that SKY and the CL changed the face of English football for good years ago. Chelsea and Man City plus anyone else that has huge financial backing are trying to break into the top section of the league the only way it can be done in this era of modern football - spend big.

The playing field needs to be levelled. It's not right that you can money-bomb your way to success. There should be limits to how much can be spent. The Man C situation, in particular, is surreal.
