As is my wont I have been revisiting old albums - Simon and Garfunkel/Paul Simon.
Some excellent ditties - the song "Bookends", about old people living out their sad/lonely lives, includes Paul Simon singing "How terribly strange to be seventy" which, I recall touched a nerve back in the '60's. Well, Paul Simon is now 70 years of age, has just released an album "So Beautiful Or So What" - worth a listen, lots of clever usage of words and picture-painting still going on there.
On the strength of that I've just booked two tickets to go and see him at the Montreux Jazz Festival in July - it'll be my birthday present to myself (and the missus, if she behaves herself)!
