I like Ava Vidal. Black woman who's comedy isn't based around being black and a woman. She comes out with some quite nasty stuff too. The skit about not fancying her kids cause they're fat had me in tears.

Gotta admit that when some Chav's called Andi a 'Niggerette', she thought it was some sort of patch black men wore on their arm to wean them off of white women.

Totally WRONG if told by a white comedian but it had the place in roars of laughter.

Have to say I prefer my stand-up comics to be male. It's probably a gay thing or an age thing. Women being funny in a situation comedy is fine but a woman standing alone on stage doesn't really do it for me. Look, I used to like Bernard Manning - I can't see a woman making me laugh a similar way!
