Summer signings

Sullivan says we are in negotiations with 5 players and should have at least one by next week.

Going by reports 3 concrete ones are:-

Nolan - Newcastle....Nearest CM to Scotty we could realistically get
Campbell - Blackpool....Suggests Ba and Cole are as good as gone
Ferdinand - Southend.....yes....their 18yr old CB cousin

As for the other 2......Diouf and Barton?

If you believe what you read Nolan has 2yrs to run on a 60k a week deal.That's a bloody big contract for a Championship club to give

I personally don't think it'll happen tbh, besides....he'd take the Captaincy off Noble (It's not given but I'd be surprised if it isn't Noble)

Why would Nolan step down to the championship, he is still a premiership quality player, I don't see why Newcastle would want rid tbh.

Smith still hasn't scored a goal for Newcastle and he's another on a massive contract as is Cole.I find it hard to believe that you're actually in for these players.They wanted to trim the wage bill when you were in the Prem, it's going to be harsher in the Championship

Parker should be made to stay unless a ridiculous offer comes in (£10m+)

Spot on...Parker even tho great this year still has 2 years to run on his contract , and given the fact that thisseason was his first proper season where he did shine, should also honour his contract, Just because wh drop down a division dont me he will be forgotten by the England manager...James did it when wh last went down....

As for upson glad he's gone
