I agree it is encouraging but if it had been a game against a team in our division it would bear more provenance.

Anyway Spurs and Villa are two of the ever presents in the Premierleague, yes we aren't immune to relegation but despite the loss of our best player this pre-season and the appointment of a blue nose tnuc of a manager I'm pretty confident there is enough quality in the team to once again keep us in the top flight 101 years now, see some teams just have a pedigree

Not from the Premiership they haven't.

Can't you read Ringo, the clue was where I said Villa are an ever present in the Premierleague, the key word there is Premierleague. Of course I know we have been relegated before, I'm to young to actually remember it, but we was relegated shortly after winning the european cup. Anyway still 101 years in the top flight yeh, only one other team has been in it longer..

And anyway, the deal was struck with Ringo on the Villa board because he only goes on there to wind us up, I don't come on the hammers board to wind them up (well not always). In this case Villa was being mentioned before I got here, so I had every right to respond.

Quite honestly, I don't know why any of us bother replying to him. I didn't see a positive response to any of his posts yesterday - I suppose he considers that to be the mark of a great WUM. I don't.
