Strange day on the footy front.... good day for your lot though

Saw the second half and Villa played some excellent football, thoroughly deserved the win. Clark has made a big difference in the middle and Ireland showed some great touches and effort. Did think we were tiring and Torres was very unlucky with excellent shot, but we came through it. Bent had what looked an obvious penalty shout turned down and I was still moaning about it when I noticed Petrov had scored.

Ireland needs a god run of games now.. lets see if he by a miracle can start playing to his ability.. we have got nothing to lose in giving him a run..

Good to see Clark in the team too.. he should have been involved from that beginning of the season..

Also heard that Terry could've been sent off for clearing of the line with his arm..

On a side note.. we should give Cuellar a new contract.. with a tight budget what other player can we get in who is versatile experienced and a top professional when not involved..

Cuellar did very well in the second half and should be offered new contract, but fear he is on his way

Only saw the second half but Ireland looked really good today, hopefully he can keep up that form and we will be a far better footballing side for it.

McLeish got it right today, and for the last couple of games so fair play to him.

No I didn't.. It was more about his contract being up so wages being freed up.
