Not really. It's been 2 games ffs.

Gabby scored a hat-trick in our first game last season...and then went on to score more goals aswell.

Two games in 12months.. you been drinking tonight JPA :chug:

Defoe looks deadly.. Gabby looks like a headless chicken.. 12moths ago i wouldnt even consider but unless Gabby gets back on track sharpish he isnt anywhere near Defoes level right now..

Lol Nah Ads. Defoe's probably at his peak now, Gabby's still unproven. Still young, and still trying to develop his game.

Obviously Defoe is the better striker :doh:

I'd have swapped him 12 months ago as well

Defoe was the one played I wanted us to sign, all of the times he has been available. I guess we will never know if we every tried to get him.

MON would have been mad if he didn't.

As for swopping him for Gabby, of course you would, however I think at the moment the treatment that Gabby is getting from Villa fans is a disgrace.

Considering Oneil has a buy british policy.. i think your right in that he mustve bid for him but Defoe wasant interested or wages were a stumbling block :bottom:

Defoe is exactly the type of striker we need at Villa.. was impressed with all three of his strikes yesterday..

We should've made a big effort to get him when we had the chance. I don't believe we tried hard enough to get him.
