We did, reportedly. It was turned down.

Revamped midfield and strike force, a bit forced but Big Sam seems to like Tomkins as a midfielder.

And he's put us in front too.

I'm only going by the OS commentary, but yes. Did Vaz te and Maynard play well against Southampton? I didn't see any of the game at all.

Vaz Te played well, but had a tendency to lose his footing. Maynard came on as sub late in the second half but looked bright.

I always like seeing Kevin Phillips score, think he's had a really superb career but not this time.

I wouldn't have minded him signing for us last summer. He's a really nice bloke too, I'm told.

Have you heard we tried to sign Torres? The Davids are ambitious, if nothing else..

Big Sam doesn't name one, because of only being allowed 5 subs in the Football League. Lansbury does training with the keepers in case something like this happened.

No, Sam hasn't had a keeper on the subs bench for weeks now. Lansbury was the nominated sub tonight, squeaky bum time, eh? I reckon they might try to get Almunia back on loan.
