10 days
Biggest 10 days of AM's managerial career and most of the players coming up.
Sunderland
Bolton
Baggies
We're not in a good place at the moment, morale is low and injuries have meant we're relying on too many of the kids to battle through some tough games. If Bolton get a result against Swansea on Saturday and we fail against Sunderland then they will come to VP able to draw level with us on points. Wigan, on form have Fulham at the weekend but thankfully QPR look fooked with Spurs, Chelsea and Man City to play. Blackburn have Spurs and Chelsea away so whilst we could be very close indeed if we have a shocker in the next 10 days I think we'll just be safe. If we finish 17th though, regardless of the terrible injuries we've had I think RL will have to look at the manager situation for next season.
Of course what I'd like to see is us take 15 points from the last 5 and finish with 50 points. UTV.

Finishing lower than 10th with the squad we started the season with is a failure, certainly the 8 points off 10th that we are at the moment, he has to get rid of him as he has lost the fans, the atmosphere will be dire next season, well more dire than normal.
You can't tell me that the likes of Norwich have a better squad than us. We did loose a couple of players, McLeish replaced one and has then chosen not to use him.
McLeish has been unlucky in some games and we could have had a few more points, but he did himself no favours the way he approached games like Spurs away, and turned fans against him that were going to give him a chance.

Massive failure this season, even Wigan might finish above us now.

Re: 10 days
I think the team we are currently putting out is pretty awful. In fact I would say they are relegation standard and we'll be saved by the points we already have rather than what we get in the next few games. The mystery is Nzog, from what I hear he isn't interested at all, which is a shame as he has the ability to be very good.
The fans patience is wearing pretty thin, only a solid finish and decent summer spend can save that. A poor finish and I think Lerner would be mad not to get a new man in quickly, but that's £7m straight off the transfer budget.

Re: 10 days
He isn't going to change manager no matter what, fans didn't want the twat, campaigned against him from before he took the job right up to now, Lerner ignored the fans, General Krulcrap said the fans didn't know what they was talking about they was "being advised by people who was paid to know this stuff" and they was saying Mctwat was a good manager.
They have been proved wrong, he has done exactly as all the fans feared and for Lerner to change management now will be to admit that he was wrong, he won't do it.
Fucking stnuc the lot of them.

Benitez? Granted i hate the fat cnut but he would have us top ten def.. his record speaks for itself..
Re: 10 days
It's true, but he'd need money every season. I'm not sure Randy's going to be forking out 15 million every transfer window anymore.

Sullivan's books normally contain lots of pictures!

Here's a quote from Aliaksandr Hleb, who we had on loan from Barcelona last season, talking about McLeish's tactics:
“The day before a game he would come onto the pitch and show us what to do: ‘You stand here, the goalkeeper will give you the ball here, kick it as far as you can and don’t pass to anyone nearby. And we all run.’”
From an interview he gave to a Russian newspaper this week.

feckin massive, huge whopper of a game tonight. Lose tonight and WE ARE FECKIN FECKED. Don't think we have the character to make it if Bolton nick the 3 points.

I reckon 1-1 draw, not good enough but I still think other teams will fail to get the points they need from the last few games.

If then Bolton won their game in hand three teams would be 3 points behind us but with goal difference in our favour. It's hard to see us going down in that case.

Draw will most likely be enough to keep us up, don't think we have it in us to win tonight anyway.

Re: 10 days
Just looking at the fixtures I can't see us going down, as long as we don't lose tonight. If it was still mathematically possible on the last day of the season you would have to expect that Blackburn away to Chelsea and QPr away to Man City would mean that them two atleast would not pick up the points required to overtake us. Of course anything can happen in football (wigan) but we should be ok, just.
