Villa to announce manager on Friday
Hmmm...
Brendan Rodgers to Liverpool within the next 48 hours
Bookies got Lambert nailed on for our managers job
Martinez to meet Whelan today to let him know his plans.....some people believe it might be Di Matteo, or even Michael Laudrup

Would be happy with any of them other than Di Matteo, don't rate him.
Where did you see it was to be announced on Friday? Cant see it been that quick unless it's a manager out of contract as there will be compensation to sort.

Quite a few places to be honest, but take that with a pinch of salt because as we know, unless it comes from the club directly, everything else is hearsay. One was from Mat Kendrick, he said he's 'going on holiday, great timing as AVFC are going to have their manager in place, ideally on Monday', plus just pure speculation on Villatalk, etc.
and saw this, quote from Bham mail:
It has been 16 days since Alex McLeish was sacked and, ideally, the claret and blues would want to appoint his successor by Friday.

The one i'd want to avoid would be Martinez. I'd be happy with any of the others mentioned. Martinez was a bit of a joke up until March. Yes he did well to keep Wigan in the division but he doesn't enthuse me.
