Defoe?

Rumours of Defoe to Villa tonight on the net (just like every summer for the last 6 seasons), normally wouldn't take notice but would he a good player to have in our squad?

Always seems to score goals when he came on the pitch for Spurs, but he's 29 years old now, and hasn't been a regular starter for Spurs for about 2 seasons now. Rumoured fee is 6-8m.....

Not sure him and Bent did that well together at Spuds, think he is a good player, just not what we need as we have a goal poacher

Doesnt seem to fit at all in the type of player that Lambert is going for. MON missed the boat all them seasons ago when we should have signed Defoe.

If we are going to sign a big name striker then it needs to be someone that can link up will with Bent, which isn't Defoe.

Not fussed either way..

Defoe is a goal poacher and scores at a decent rate..

But him and bent didn't work at Spuds.. he'd command a decent wage packet too..

Plus it's no coincidence that a fair few managers haven't seen him as first choice despite his goals per game tally..

But we DEF need another striker.. can't rely on just Bent all season..
