Re: Predictions For Tonight's Game?
5-0.All goals in the first half from 5 different scorers.though 3 will come from set pieces so according to Lord Grumpyfuck of Lisbon we'll therefore only be scraping through 2-1

Just seens a handfull of Veinna supporters chanting away in Bham City Center..
3-0 If Carew starts..
3-0 If Carew starts..
Re: Predictions For Tonight's Game?
Right, lets get descriptive
James Milner to cross from the byline for either Hesky or Carew (who ever starts) to head in.
They'll score from a deflection which comes off Sidwell.
And then Gabby will finally get a goal this season, he'll get a defence-splitting thru-ball from Stiliyan Petrov or Ashley Young, and he'll race on to it, around the keeper for a simple tap-in.
Last goal will come from Carew.

panned out just like i expected, we was in complete control, an easy 2-0 scoreline when suddenly the defence turns off and **** me its 2-1 with no way back into the game, typical.

I disagree, I dont think it was the defence that turned off, it was the midfield, Delph and Petrov didnt really work and in the second half there was no protection for the defence.

then why was there winger making a run right behind the defence in acres of space, it was the easiest of ball through to him right behind the defence he squared it 2-1. shocking

I just think that it was the same problem we had last season with the 4-4-2, players running from everywhere and the defence not knowing what was going on.
They had some chances, where they had about 3 shots in a row and somehow they fucked it up, and Petrov was just standing on the edge of the area looking on, not even trying to get back.

As a poster on 606 said today, the tie wasn't lost today, it was lost in Vienna with that dismal performance.

Disagree.. the tie was lost today when we went 2-0 up and couldnt hold onto a lead.. we do it time and time again.. where we sit back and invite pressure.. Oneil shouldve changed it and brought Reo Coker on for Delph or Petrove.. or better still played 4-51 like he did against Liverpool!
