Next match.
ManU away - always a tough match but one to look forward to nonetheless.
We've started well and I've the feeling we'll continue to do so. There's two trains of thought :
1) we've had easy games so far, ManU will be a different level;
2) we've played well against the opposition we've had thus far (Everton away was no easy way to start the season on paper) and will continue to do so.
Mine's clearly the second train of thought and I'm trusting this team, this squad of players to give a good account of themselves in Manchester, both at Utd and City, after the international break.
What can I say? May the best team win is totally appropriate.

Re: Next match.
Arsenal have started the season very well indeed, they actually seem more of a team after getting rid of the 2 players to City and United will be full of confidence after the big win against Wigan.
May the best team win indeed.

Exactly. I'd have been unhappy with a draw TBH and we lost! Amazing!
RvP could've had a hat-trick - we were denied a blatant pen and the winning goal was the biggest stupidity I've seen in football at any level (and I've seen my sons playing from the age of 5 or 6)!
OK, we can draw good stuff from the match - we were the best team on the pitch and there's no way we can ever be so unlucky again.
However - and I was saying to my son at half time - Almunia has to get a grip. He's got a very good defence in front of him now (Vermaelen was excellent yet again) but he has to control his space. A couple of times in the first half he could've/should've come for a ball but left it to defenders to clear. Then, in the second half he comes for a through ball for Rooney that is going away from goal, stretches and touches Rooney and it's a pen, a needless effing pen.
I'll say nowt about the winner - I'm sure we'll all see it again and again!
That's football, we were the better team and we lost - now go out there and stuff everyone else,
we can get our revenge at The Grove against ManU.

Re: Next match.
Champions dont make two big errors in one game..
Also.. Arsenal have a team that can def challenge but they still seem to be missing a leader or a physical presence.. which will inevitably mean they wont win the title..

Any thoughts on Eboue's dive?

Re: Next match.
Eboue's dive was so blatant it was laughable. The ref shoul've given him marks out of 10. And did anyone else think Arsene looked like he was auditioning for a remake of Titanic when he went and stood at the top of those stairs?

Re: Next match.
We seem to have cornered the market in joke goals, eh? Five competitive matches, three joke goals - two for, one against. And for those who like to poke fun at Johnny Foreigner, is it a French thing?
Eboue's dive? Eboue is Eboue - I make no excuses for the bloke cos he's a joke.
Speaking of diving some say that Rooney was already on his way down when Almunia's hands caught him - is that a half-dive or doesn't it count (when it's Rooney, who is almost English)?
More football to come - although I fully expected The Arsenal to win at Old Trafford (and think they deserved to) I'm looking for a top performance after the break at City.
