He knows what he's talking about, has a genuine passion for his job and he just seems nice.

Beds i agree.. thought he was a total tosser when at United.. one of Fergie's tea boys.. but on Sky Sports he is doing very well.. speaks well too.. and says it how it is rather then have his tongue in Fergie's bum..


On a side note.. does anyone remember Gary Neville's diary that someone posted on the old Bbc 606.. was really funny..

Looking back I suppose The Nevilles were yer basic English footballers, a bit thick, happy to kick sh!te out of a talented player when necessary - Gary certainly comes across as someone who knows what he's about but that doesn't mean I have to like him as a player in retrospect - couldn't stand him or his brother in the Old Trafford days!

Oh, I'm talking about now, not as a player. It's nice to see him growing into his new role.

Think Neville talks a lot of sense in his punditry role

I think Gary Neville would be loved by the fans of whoever he played for. He was wholehearted and to be fair the best English right back in the last thirty years. No one who is limited gets to play over 600 games for Man Utd and win the silverware he did. As a pundit, well he's ok. Not keen on his manc accent and imo he tries too hard to be seen ras a neutral but he's growing into the role. Personally i think he has to pick between his TV and coaching job. He can't give it full beans on a Sunday when analysing an England player's performance when that player is playing for him the following Wednesday. Complete conflict of interests. As for Phil Neville, he's always struck me as a nice fella and has had a great career.
