Scrap the Europa League

And extend the Champions league to 64 club!!! I knew the governing body of football would find a way of getting Liverpool back into the competition.

Ridiculous really but when football is controlled by big money then im all for it.. if its not just the champions then whether its 32 or 64 who cares.. esp if it gives clubs like us a chance in the long term...

Scrap the Champions League and the Europa League. Bring back the European Cup,UEFA cup and Cup winners cup in knockout format, lower the prize money and stop rewarding teams for finishing fucking 4th in the league.

Totally agree with this, but wont happen becuase of TV

They've ballsed up the UEFA cup, which is a terrible shame IMO. Going down this route might dilute the interest in the early stages of the CL though, it doesn't sound like a goer to me. IF they got rid of the stupid concept of CL losers dropping down into it and made it a shorter, more fan friendly competition it could be saved.

"Champions and cup winners and cup runners up and teams finishing 4th in the league but still 20 points behind the leaders League" doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Seven English teams and five Scottish teams......

So maybe the top six and the FA cup winners then we can lose the league cup...

As for Scotland why include the whole league???

I much preferred the previous format too. The powers that be seem intent on fecking up football.
The PL season is disjointed by meaningless internationals. The CL and Europa thing seem to go on forever.
The world famous FA Cup and the League Cup have been devalued.
They seem to want to wring all they can out of the game by making all international and European competitions league based, this is working to the detriment of British football. Oyoyoy, 5 teams from Scotland, for fecks sake.

Outside of Celtic, no Scottish football team would make it out of the Championship. I've seen some Dundee United games (one of the teams tipped for 2nd this year) and every single team has been really bad. Ridiculous such a weak league would get 5 places.
