England, eh?
Well at least Roy Hodgson's been allowed to hold onto his job, given that his England players put on a reasonable show against Switzerland. The thought that the knives were out already seems a touch O-T-T for me, I mean we knew England were pretty crap before the World Cup so our failures there weren't exactly surprising i.e. can't really blame the manager. Now that The Oldies have resigned we re-start with a crop of young players that do have potential - this was what I was expecting Hodgson to be able to benefit from - so to immediately be after his job following one ordinary warm-up match (v Norway) is a bit much methinks.
All he's got to do is get his defensive options sorted and we're on our way to a more lively England, IMO - I mean, the likes of Barclay, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Wilshere, Delph, Sturridge, Sterling, Welbeck offer one helluva package, not to mention Chambers and Gibbs. If he can't get some decent results with that lot then perhaps he does deserve to go but at least give the bloke a chance!
meanwhile, a tidy 2-0 win over the Swiss (who were over-rated, whilst we were under-rated before the match) is a move in the right direction. Keep 'em coming Roy!

Yes a very good crop of youngsters. Is Woy the man to mold them into a great team? Time will tell.
