Racist fans

Well, well, what a surprise - Chelsea fans showing racist tendencies - whatever next! Chrissake those bastards have been giving football a bad name since I don't know when!

And they seem to be finding more of them - quelle surprise!

Yes, Chelsea have some racist fans. But so does every other club to be fair.

No doubt but Chelsea have history (as do Millwall and ManU). It was at The Shed that the BNP used to sign on their members back in the day - a nasty bunch of cnuts!

And don't forget West Ham. They've probably got as many racists as Chelsea, if not more. They might be the darlings of the media but they really are a scummy club with scummy fans.
Spurs are no angels when it comes to racism either, despite the uproar about the Yid chants and the perception that they are the victims.
Let's face it, every club has a racist element. Arsenal do, Viler do, Blues do. And they ALL have history for it. Chelsea are just high profile at the moment, that's all.

Well I'm telling you that The Shed was full of fascists back in the day - fact. I'd forgotten about West Ham too, they've got a bit of previous but I'd still stick to Chelsea, Millwall and ManU fans as being the worst for blatant racism.

West Ham have "got a bit of previous"? That's like saying Adolf Hitler was a little bit naughty. West Ham are right up there with the worst offenders - always have been. Man United not so much, as far as I'm aware. Talk to any fan from just about any club and they'll tell you that there were National Front activists (and later BNP) recruiting at almost every ground in the country back in the day. Not just Chelsea. I'm not defending them, just pointing out that they're not alone.
Out of interest, here's the government's top ten list of racist offenders by club over the last 10 years (Premier League only):

West Ham: 21
Chelsea: 19
Tottenham Hotspur: 17
Sunderland: 15
Aston Villa: 12
Stoke City: 12
Arsenal: 10
West Brom: 9
Hull: 7
Man United: 7

It looks like Arsenal are worse than Man United from those figures

I'm only going by experience here Tilts, from what I personally have heard and seen (over the past 55 years). Far be it from me to question HM Government's 10-year stats, eh?!

Ok I'll email HM Government, the police, CPS and anybody else that I can think of. I'll ask them to check with you first before releasing any more statistics.

I think that everybody acknowledges that racism was a lot worse way, way back. People didn't even get arrested for it in those days. I bet that if figures did exist, they would still show West Ham fans above Man U in the list of shame. They are a traditionally racist club - just look at Alf Garnet for gawd's sake

Originally "'Til Death Us Do Part" was shown in black and white. A new series, from 1972 was in colour. I'd probably stopped watching it by then you see, hence my black'n white memories. You may well be younger than I (most people are) and perhaps richer but I, apparently saw its first. Naaanaa-na-naaanaa

Well you should know that West Ham have always had a high percentage of racist fans then. They still do. Horrible club.
