My daughters grandad is the manager of a car dealership and says that if you look around, you can still get deals on pre registered cars which work out cheaper than the scrappage scheme.
The dealerships have bought a load of cars to keep their sales figures good and are now looking to offload them

It's a rip off.If you've got a decent sum to spend go for a motor which is 12 months old with less than 10k on the clock.

Yes, but you tried to trade her in for a new set of golf clubs.

Re: Government scrapage scheme.
To be realistic, the government is giving you next to nothing in the scrappage scheme....
They give you £2000.... you buy a new car (Which is the deal) if the new car is worth £15000 off of the forecourt, you already pay £2250 in VAT!
Deal or no deal?

Deal or no deal?
