FIFA
Having forced Nelson Mandela to be present at the final, despite his family being in mourning for his grandaughter (apparently his family pleaded for Mandela to be left to follow family customs) FIFA - Sepp Blatter - have again over-stepped the mark in terms of respectful behaviour.
FIFA are supposed to have made some seriously silly tax-free money out of the South Africa event (£2.5 billion?) whilst insisiting that anyone attempting to encroach on their franchised business be charged in a criminal court (rather than a civil court) which has been costing something in the order of £16,000 per day (whilst South Africa's criminal courts are way behind in their attempts at handling serious crime). I understand many local people, unable to afford the cost of watching matches in stadia that may not be used again, were seen wearing FICK FUFA t-shirts - I'd go along with that, FICK FUFA indeed!
Meanwhile who is going to stop Blatter and his cronies? It's been a long time that they have been allowed to run riot across the globe using corrupt business methods to obtain their ridiculous profits, whilst giving not a care to football itself. I somehow feel responsible for this jerk and his henchmen, since they lord it over the game that I love.

I'm afraid Sepp Blatter is a prime example of what's wrong with the world we live in.

Blatter is a horrible bloke, where did he come from to get this power. Arrogant little shite. Got to say Platini is along the same lines, shame as one of the best players I ever saw play the game.

Actually, thinking about it, Mal might know someone who could sort this out.

The thing that gets me, and i have to say this is something more and more makes me wonder, how is it that these incredibly talentless average joe's who stink of smarmy corruption and backhanders seem to rule the world, seem to run banks, seem to run top business, I've been saying this for ages now, "if your a complete toe rag a liar and a cheat you can make it royally in this world, that's how it seems, either that or as in the case of a customer of mine who without doubt is a millionaire many many times over, is completely inept, surrounds himself with yes men and becomes the front.
Its no wonder to me that within the next 10 years we will all be paying homage to the Chinese for every breath we take.

If FIFA has any balls, they would have banned the cheating French

If they had an ounce of sense 'the cheating French' thing wouldn't have happened - the Irish would've appealled, the 4th official would have checked his monitor and ruled out the goal due to TH's handball(s)! First thing they must do is bring the game into the 21st century by using technology to instantly oversee and rule on on-field disputes. Then some sort of football watch-dog must be introduced to counteract the corruption in the current UEFA/FIFA footballing world.

Funny old world.....some would say you reap the seed you sow in this world, what goes around comes around.
The French where highly rated for this world cup and vanished up there own dust holes, probably because they shouldn't have been there...........
I can't wait till the next Ireland v France game.......................game of the century.
