Oh, you heard that rumour too?
By the way, I know it's only pre-season friendlies, but Thomas Hitzelsperger has set up goals v Peterborough (2-1, Carlton Cole & Anthony Edgar (Jermaine Defoe's cousin) & Borussia Munchengladbach. (2-0, Carlton Cole & Benni McCarthy (!).)

Very good player Thomas Hitzelsperger, yep always rated him at Villa, and he always said Villa are and always will be his favourite club, good to see him again at season start.

So I see. I dunno, if you can't trust the Jewish Chronicle, who CAN you trust?
Lots of Hammers Gossip today:
West Ham are set to finalise a move for Lyon defender Francois Clerc, who is available on a free transfer having seen out his contract with the French club.
Full story: Daily Mirror
But Tal Ben-Haim's proposed move to West Ham and a reunion with former Portsmouth manager Avram Grant is on the verge of collapse after the defender failed a medical. (the Times)
And Nice have rejected the Hammers' £12.5m bid for Loic Remy as the London club battle with Liverpool and another unnamed Premier League side to sign the striker.
Full story: the Independent
Wolves, West Ham and Blackburn are locked in three-way tussle to sign striker Benjani, who is a free agent after leaving Manchester City.
Full story: Daily Mirror
West Ham's bid to move into the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 Games received a boost after the company behind the huge shopping centre that will dominate the entrance to the site said it would back the idea.
Full story: the Guardian

The Palestinian Times maybe....Can't believe you make a statement like that beds I assume you think because its Jewish or the Jewish Chronicle then thats where the bar is set in terms of honesty and if you can't trust them then forget it...beds most of the tabloids in the UK and all over the world are owned by Jews.

Oh dear. I don't know what I'd do without you to put me straight, Mal.
Or to put it another way, I can't believe you read that as a serious comment.
