Carling Cup
Well, you left it late but you're spanking Spurs. Leaving them nicely demoralised, one hopes.

Only seen last 15 of normal time and extra time, Spuds barely got a kick. Lansbury looks a top prospect as well.

Sam posted a comment on my status that gave me a chuckle.

I thought the Arsenal fans chanting "Is the a fire drill, Is there a fire drill" as the Spud supporters were leaving in their droves, was just hilarious.

Yeh, that and the "Shall we make a DVD?" chant were tops - I do like that instant football-fan humour!
The Spuds did it too, with their huge "When the Spurs go marching in" song early in the game (dozy feckers) - late on the Gooners were singing "Shall we sing a song for you?" just as heartily.
That was a tidy performance - nice to see The Arsenal playing their passing game, whoever is out there in the red'n white. We should have been 2-0 up at half-time and I thought we truly played them off the park although, as I murmered late on, "Wouldn't it be typical if Bentley managed to score a second goal and we lost the match despite having turned the Spuds over completely?". Thankfully the linesman's gift to that cnut Keane was all they were able to achieve!
