Next prem match is up at Old Trafford so that'll be the proof of the pudding - so to speak. "Men-Against-Boys" as has been the case for the past couple of seasons or so or is it to be a "Top-The-League" consolidation? Time will tell, meanwhile, I like the view from up here!

I meant to put him in my fantasy team yesterday, but bloody forgot and kept Arteta in, who is suspended. Changed it today to Obinna and he played like a plonker

I think we have the players who can make the difference now. Nasri is certainly one, as is, of course Captain Cesc, then there's AA who is a genius with the ball plus RvP - I'm just hoping they all get to play in the same team sometime soon to show us what they can do, alongside the likes of Chamakh and Wilshere. Be nice to start with a full team at Old Trafford, eh?

JPR, I think going forward you are superb, though do tend to over play things on occassions. When is Vermehlan back, could do with him asap. Chamakh has been an inspired signing

It's nice to see AA finding some form. He's such a class act. Yes it would be good to see our strongest side on display in Manchester.

God knows when Vermaelen gets back - proably sometime in 2011!
Chamakh has indeed been a great signing, he's a big lad, takes all the knocks and holds the ball up superbly, playing people in and he does all the right old-fashioned things that a centre-forward should do.
As long as the keeper holds out I think we're doing OK. I'd prefer to see Song doing more of a defence-minding job TBH, he gets forward a lot and is often caught upfield on the counter-attack. As I said on another thread I wouldn't mind Koscielny getting the holding mid-field role, he likes to get stuck in and his distribution is top-class - still, that's fine-tuning I suppose.
All to play for in the coming week or so. A good performance against Partisan on Wednesday will see us through to the CL play-offs, a good performance at Old Trafford might consolidate our position at the top of the Prem. Dizzy days!

Think you make a good point there JPR re Song, for the sake of the team should play the holding role. It is nice to come on a football website and talk to someone who talks sense, not the shite that most talk
