One of two things are going to happen......
A...Time for a new manager........
B........The ruskie tires of his old toy and walks away.

They have Villa next so they will get a win against us. Can't see them not getting top 4.

True, looking at their next 4 fixtures though, three at at home and I would think they will win all of them.

Lampard coming back to fitness for them will be a massive boost.

I don't think they'll get relegated.

Its a minor blip that either a new manager or loads of money or both will resolve.

Slight change of subject

I was reading on the beeb site yesterday that the last time Man City went top on the 28th Dec they did go down...

I also remember reading once that Man City scored the most goals in one season and also went down..

Weird huh ?

Chelsea won the lot last season so, with the same manager they're hardly likely to have just become a bad team. At the beginning of the season they were coasting it. They've just gone through a bad patch which has highlighted the fact that they lack quality squad members. The average age of their team against The Arsenal on Monday was 27, (Arsenal's was 23) which, to me means they should be bringing a few youngsters through. Their bench was pretty lightweight - the youngster they brought on (don't remember who he was but he was pretty ordinary) was a year older than Jack Wilshere but light years away from his potential. Chelsea will certainly finish top-four - there's half a season to go so they could also stage a come-back, since no team has showed much consistency thus far it's still anybody's title to win.

IMO what has fecked Chelsea up is losing Ballack,Carvahlo and Cole.It could be argued that they are all past their best but when Chelsea have lost players to injury this season the back up players aren't of the same standard as the lads who've gone.IMO Terry is way past his best,Lampard is a massive influence and he's missed 4 months.Drogba hasn't fully recovered from the malaria and Essien hasn't been anywhere near his best.I'd argue they are Chelsea's most important players by a country mile. That said, they've got us next so their season will be back on track.Expect Lampard to score a couple at least

hello ringo, i thought you had left this site promising never to return again!!

as for the ruskie getting bored of his old toy, wishful thinking my friend, i had a beer with him just a few weeks ago in new york and the way he was talking/acting you have a very very long wait ahead of you,

that said he is a businessman and who knows what wealthy Arab could be around the corner!!
