MASSIVE THREE POINTS!!

Great defensive display today... Houlier started with Bent Young Gabby Downing and Albrighton.. but set the team up perfectly.. last 10mins Man City came on strong.. but considering where we are in the league it was a good performance and will give us a big confidence boost.. plus a clean sheet..

Bent scored on his debut and i thought Petrov did well.. Albrighton was briliant on the right and Gabby was ver unselfish for the cause on the left... Ashley Young looked lively too...

MA...HOOOOOOOOOSIVE 3 points. 3 more and we're climbing the ladder.

A great defensive display, Bent didn't really contribute much apart from the goal but that is what we bought him for. Well done lads they really fought for it.

Thought everyone was brilliant yesterday, great performance. Petrov had his best game in ages, and all of the back four were superb.

Great result. Our season really starts now and I think we'll do well in the second half of this season.

Really enjoyed the game last night.Had said to the brother in law that Bent hadn't touched the ball and seconds later he banged in the goal.Magnificent! Man of the match imo was Petrov, but i don't think we had anyone who put in a less that 8 out of 10 performance.We were a bit fortunate at times but Man City have some tremendous players and overall we more than matched them.Think Gabby deserves a special well done as he spent the last 20 mins as a left back.That showed a tremendous attitude from a player who could be feeling a tad miffed that he wasn't playing in his natural position.Begrudgingly i've got to say Kermit set the team up well don't get me wrong he's still a tnuc but not quite as much of one as he was before kick off.Only irritation I had was some pisshead texting me during the game spouting absolute bollox
