Do you think that this is putting a bit too much pressure on the player?

Yes I do. He'll be what, 17?????
He's from Hitchin, by the way. His dad and Grandad run a building company here.

I just hope his faimly help keep him grounded.
I'm sure Wenger will keep a good eye on him too and make sure he is focused on developing at Arsenal

His family are really nice, by all accounts. His dad fixed my friend's garage roof. Trouble is, if he gets big ideas there's not a lot they can do, is there?

Jack Wilshere is obviously a good player - a bit special and likes to be involved whilst seemingly un-fazed in the company of better-known team-mates and opponents. I'd bank on him developing further and, if given his chance in the Arsenal team there's good reason to suppose he'll step up to the full England squad over time. His attitude on the pitch seems good, no reaction to being whacked about and eager to do his stuff on the ball - I'm hoping he's a gem for the future !

If he is good enough get him involved but I'd prefer to see him prove himself in the premiership before beign talked about as a England player.

From what I've seen, he looks incredibly talented. But can he handle the physical side of the league? He's only a boy.
