ITV just showed a quote.
"Imagine the worse situation - We lose Fabregas and Nasri. You cannot convince people you are ambitious after that." - Arsene Wenger

It's worse than I thought down at the Arsenal. Maybe Arsene has lost his focus, is there any way back from that defeat or are we in the endgame for Mr Wenger?

How many teams in the PL could suffer the loss of 10 first team players and go to Old Trafford and not get smashed?
Sunday was indeed a disaster but you cannot ignore the circumstances in which it happened.

Re: Turmoil
As a team we were poor at Old Trafford - yet we scored twice and could have/should have scored two more (a pen/ Arshavin's chance that he somehow missed). We fell apart in the final twenty minutes but before that we lacked leadership in defence (only Koscielny put in a shift and the organisation was non-existent - the first goal was pathetic), weight in midfield (only Ramsey was able to pull a few strings, poor Coquelin didn't know what hit him) and efficiency in attack (Walcott played well for an hour, RvP was way, way below his best - hence the crap pen).
"Endgame for Wenger"? No - despite those who appear to be rubbing their collective hands in glee, 8-2 being the proof that he's lost it. I suspect that we'll be bringing in three or four new players who will be of the calibre to re-inforce the team. No, we won't replace Fabregas - that player doesn't exist - but I'm pretty sure that when our injured/banned players return to the squad, along with the new arrivals, The Arsenal will again be a team to be reckoned with.
ManU did very, very well against us at Old Traford - really hammered home their superiority which other teams might not have done - now it's up to us to get back on the job. I have every confidence that we'll be seeing a resurgent Arsenal in the coming weeks and months.

Re: Turmoil
Arsenal came up short last season. They needed a new CB and probably a more experienced and steely midfielder on top of what they already had plus lose a couple of the weaker squad members and find replacements. With Nasri and Cesc becoming more and more likely to leave as the window progressed the requirement for new faces became even more urgent. Man U, Chelsea, Man City even Liverpool have boosted their first team and squads. Arsenal have got a Korean dude in to sell more shirts!!! I'm sure we'll see some more action today but WHY THE FECK hasn't Wenger sorted this out earlier? Why the silly low offers for players that were never going to be accepted? Its only 3 games in but for me Arsenal have absolutely no chance of winning the league this year and certainly not the CL either. What must be frustrating is not knowing if it's Wenger just being Wenger or is it the board not willing to support him?

It's Blues fault. We damaged their minds.

A really good signing that everyone knew needed to be made at the first opportunity. He could've had a pre-season with them if Wenger had been more pro-active. These late deals should be sorting out the gaps left by Nasri and Cesc not players we knew he needed last year. Look how quickly Fergie re-acted, he got his pants pulled down at the CL final and sorted his midfield out as soon as he could. Wenger has been dragging his heels all summer.

What a mess. Defence looks worse than last season at the moment. Not sure how long Wenger has got left now?
