Dont blame Arsenal. Bolton need to sell Cahill, Arsenal have apparently offered £7 million for a player that is out of contract next summer and is not going to sign a new deal.

£10-12 million is what he is probably worth in the current market and Bolton are kidding themselves if they think anyone is going to pay more.

They paid us £5.5m and with a 10% sell on clause they are hardly going to accept only £500k more are they when he has continued to develop.

Agreed, but you cant blame Arsenal as Bolton obviously want to sell Cahill. All summer Coyle has been going on about it and never once has he said that wanted to keep him, because he wont sign a new deal.

No way will they get 17 million for him. Will be 10-12 million.

10 million is a bargain for him..

Arsenal need to get there skates on and get some players in ASAP.. cant see them getting anything at Old Trafford..

I thought it was more likely Bolton trying to create more interest in Cahill. They think he is worth 17 million because it's the buy out clause in his contract, no one will pay it.

If they were so insulted by the bid, why make it public? Just ignore it.

That's Wenger's point entirely. Also the offer was far more than £6m but was performance related, beyond the £6m.

Coyle is doing his utmost to get an auction going.Fact is Arsenal have made an offer which Bolton don't believe is enough.Now Arsenal have a choice, up the bid or look elsewhere.As far as I know it wasn't Arsenal who told the media that they'd put a bid in.Time to shut up or put up from Coyle.For what it's worth I can see a deal being done which is in the region of £10m + a player on loan, possibly Bendtner
