Portugal
They've done well to get so far - they've got half a team that works it's collective socks off so that one player can grab all the glory.
Everyone creaming themselves over Ronaldo - "He's hit the post 9 times in the last X matches (Cream)!" - translated, that means he's missed the effin target 9 times! "Ronaldo Rescues Portugal!" "Is this going to be Ronaldo's year?" Well no it isn't actually. The cnut tries to shoot from every angle, prancing and posing around on free kicks - all he does it try to score for Chrissake whilst his team-mates do all the spade-work (and, of course he throws the toys out every time he doesn't get his way - the pass is half-an-inch out or the ref doesn't give him a free-kick for laying down)! Even his team-mates say he's the best in the world - if I was in his team I'd call him a meglomaniac and ask him to work for the team a but - cnut!

Re: Portugal
He does a fair bit more than that JP. He's an arrogant turd, but he's the second greatest player in the world in my opinion

Re: Portugal
Undoubtedly so QB. He might be selfish and egotistic, but with 60 goals for club and country this season it obviously works for him.

What about in the final group game when a couple of minutes before he scored the winner, he laid it on a plate for Nani (I think), who let the keeper save. He is a great player and does work for the good of the team as well IMHO

Re: Portugal
Def a real talent.. shame he acts like a cock.. if its why a survey in Portugal before Euro's many said he should be dropped..
If he really worked hard for the team he can be a top top International player.. let's see how he plays against one of the big boys in the semi's..
In the tournament so far he has missed a few chances but at times played brilliantly..

Re: Portugal
Sorry (actually I'm not - I'm just disagreeable) but I don't see a "fine footballer". I see someone who usually runs in one direction (goalwards) - he is quick and he is strong (although strength appears to vanish should anyone so much as threaten a tackle) and he's good in the air (that's a real plus for your continental footballer). He scores goals, he tries to score goals more than anyone I've ever seen (which means, in the main he's a greedy self-seeking fecker and has twenty attempts, some of them ludicrous for every goal he scores)) and yes, he has laid on goals or helped goals be scored just by being in or around the action but he does not do the work that makes a "fine footballer" IMO.
Messi is (of course) easily the best footballer - perhaps of all time - but he also puts in a shift, You don't see Messi, for example, strutting around whilst his team-mates fight for the ball - he's moving, drawing defenders away from the action. But this isn't Messi verses Ronaldo for me - there's no comparison in my book - this is simply an "I detest Ronaldo and wish that I didn't have to listen to commentators creaming on about his brilliance" rant (whilst acknowledging that, in front of goal he's usually lethal).

He's also known for getting fellow pro's sent of....like he did with rooney.
He goes down easy than a whore on a cleint when it comes to be tackled

Re: Portugal
Ronaldo is no doubt a tnuc, but he is a fantastic player. People moan about his defensive side but he is basically a striker, his scoring record shows that and he puts more of a shift in than Gomez of Germany. Besides, I find it entertaining watching Ronaldo because he is such a twat, but also an outstanding footballer.

Fair enough, but you agree with the second point then?
