Re: Warnock
Yes this one looks pretty immenant, fingers crossed. What do we think then? I dont know much about him but after reading a few Blackburn fans comments regards his departure he sounds like a very good addition???

Think he will do a good job for us, and will be better than Shorey, however I would think Shorey will stay as we need two left backs for now.

Re: Warnock
He's a very good left back on par IMO with Wayne Bridge. He'd be a great addition to the squad as i have serious doubts that Bouma will be able to return.Hope i'm wrong but he's been out now for 13 months and as we've seen time and time again when players are out for that long if they do come back they tend to be succeptable to muscle pulls and strains.

Dunne and Distin could also be on there way....seems MON is now making a move at last, anyone else think we need a decent strike partner for Big John ? :headers:

Re: Warnock
Truevillan, I would prefer to get a really good midfielder in if possible. Seems as if we are better with 4-5-1, so there would be lots of competition up front.

Neil Warnock would be better than Shorey

I was about to say that I thought Neil Warnock was past his best. But QB likes him.

Re: Warnock
Didn't Warnock have a spell on loan at Cov while he was a Liverpool player? 2003 I think as I remember my drummer who's a Cov fan banging on about him.
From what I've seen of him he looks a solid player, just another 3 or 4 signings left after this one I reckon (watches pig fly over the Redditch skyline)

didn't warnock actually sign for Coventry?
As for Shorey, he has the same problem a number of fullbacks have at our club.Wanker fans who need to have a player to barrack. He had a bloody good game at liverpool on Monday and doesn't deserve the stick he takes

Re: Warnock
After speaking again with the Cov loving drummer, the difference between a drummer and a drum machine being you only have to punch the info into a drum machine once, he told me he was there on a season long loan and was player of the year for them.
According to Sky Sports News he's having a medical at this point in time (Warnock not Dan)

If he gets the LB & CB then a striker will complete the picture. He's already got 2 midfielders in (ok one is crocked and the other plays for the under10s) so he has no space for more. However, how many goals do you see Heskey and Gabby getting when big John has his mid season injury?

Re: Warnock
Delph will be a good player and think he will prove that over the season when he beds in, Downing also will prove to be a good asset. If we are playing 4-5-1, we will need to spread the goals around. Lets be realistic, what goalscorer is available for us to get?

Re: Warnock
Not over the moon with Dunne esp being a rivals cast off BUT lets hope he does the business..
Still think we need atleast another attacking player.. Seems like Tuncay is on his way to Stoke for 5M!!!!.. Seems like a bargain!

If we are going to continue with 4-5-1, I dont think we will sign another attacking player, however I do think that Tuncay would be cracking as he could fit into that formation quiet nicely.

ROT, I recall ades saying that he got 26 goals one season playing in a 4-5-1 formation during the 2002-03 season on championship manager, good shout.

I think your right but it wouldve been nice to raplce Sidwell in that system with Tuncay Defour etc.. Liverpool was a greta win but agaisnt teams that sit back agaisnt us i still dont see us having that player who cna create something from the middle..
