The press and every pundit out there, I said the only reason he probably brought on Bent against Stoke would have been because if it had got to 0-0 and he hadn't then the press would have been going crazy at him about it.

Not heard a peep out of them since then.

It's understandable though. He's our record signing, England international and biggest earner and wasn't getting a game in one of the shittest teams in the division. It's news. We Villa fans are talking about it and i'm guessing if you asked a number of fans from other clubs to name a Villa player then Bent would be the most common name. At the end of the day it's up to Lambert. The omission of Bent from the lowest scoring team in the league is going to be a talking point.

Indeed he is which is why i can't buy into this 'let's sell Bent because we don't need him' opinion. I've said it before and i'll say it again, if our place in the Prem depends on a 22yr old in his first season in a foreign country then we're in the shit.

If we don't have a decent striker lined up then no point in selling bent.. Better off spending the money on a couple of quality midfielders that can supply Bent Benteke and Weimen ..

Either way.. An interesting transfer window awaits us..

His transfers so far have been very good, couple that with our new head scout and hopefully we can pick up some good players for decent money.
