I have never quite understood the rave reviews he gets.. I know he did well in Scotland but then so would nashman..

The man is a charlatan. Lower leagues is where he belongs. Unless you want to pay average players 50k a week.

I will be amazed if Sunderland avoid relegation. Martin O'Neill is responsible for the situation they find themselves in.
He has had a reputation far and above anything he has achieved in management. He has been found out at last.
The mistake Sunderland have made is waiting too long to out him.

To be fair he did an excellent job at Leicester. All top ten finishes and three cup finals. Credit where it's due.

Only problem is the game is changed and he's still trying to find the likes of Elliot guppy n co..

He was found out at Villa by us fans at the end and now the rest know it too..

Feck me, that werent his fault, they were punching well above their weight because of him and perhaps Villa were doing that as well.

If I was a Villa fan I'd look at the feck up O'Neill made in the Europa which he threw away in pursuit of a CL place and then played like the away team at Villa Park. Hence falling between two stalls. Showed naiveity Over achieving? The man is overrated. He waited in the wings, after leaving Villa, for the right number, so he would have got all he wanted at Sunderland and what a feck up he's made there.

Poor signings at Sunderland just like at Villa ..Sidwell Heskey Shorey Maloney etc: he only got a few right and they fucked off in the end .. he aint the bees knees after all and SAFC fans realise that now along with the rest of the footie world
