Longevity Award : Arsene Wenger, with a particular mention cos he's had to put up with some perpetual stick from certain quarters (e.g. I've heard of a supposed Arsenal fan wishing that The Arsenal would lose to Wigan and therefore fail to qualify for the CL - just to spite Wenger! OK, we could still fail to qualify - but an Arsenal fan wanting The Arsenal to lose - shIte)! There are people out there who've written books about Wenger, have decided he's crap and never fail, on a daily basis to put negative things out about him, directly or indirectly, in their blog - stand up Myles Palmer you complete and utter cnut!
Most Improved Player Award : Tomas Rosicky. I think we've finally seen the kind of player he actually is (when he's not recovering from any number of injuries) this season. He's been chasing and harrying the opposition high up the field - giving a whole new meaning to "pressing" - and has even scored a couple of beauties.
BFG Award : Per Mertesacker - The BFG. He's occasionally given me fond recollections of Big Tone in his performances and he's truly stuck out as someone who cares about defending - letting those around him know what's going on (you'll have had to have seen some live matches to appreciate this - the TV cameras tend to follow the ball and fail to pick up those organizing at the back or, indeed, making runs at the front).
Welcome Back Award : This is a special Arsenal award as we've had the highest number of players potentially destroyed by illegitimate/primeval "tackles" in recent times. Sadly only this year's winner - Aaron Ramsey - has ever truly qualified to have "come back" and he really has, "Rambo" has been showing his stuff in recent matches and scored himself a tasty goal against Wigan.
Genius Award : Step up Santi Cazorla - the man is everything and more in terms of technical brilliance. He's come into English football and shown his class - long may you reign Santi!
Strikers Award :This one is shared - between Olivier Giroud, Lukas (He Scores When He Wants) Podolski and yes, Theo (The Specialist) Walcott. Three strikers - so much better than one!
Young Player Award : Kieren Gibbs who has shown tenacity in coming back from injury and showing what a fine player he is.
Hard Graft Award : Also shared, because Mikel Arteta and Laurent Koscielny have had to dig deep this season to keep things ticking over. Both deserve recognition for their dedication to the cause - if ever the expression "team player" needed to be defined you could point to these two who give everything and more to the cause.
Those not receiving awards this time around will doubtless do so in seasons to come (Jack Wilshere, Wojciech Szczesny to mention only a few) - the future beckons!

Three strikers better than one JP? Giroud has done okay I suppose but dare I say hasnt been a patch on Benteke of Villa. Podolski I have to say has been hit and miss, thought he was lazy last night and got his two goals thanks to terrible defending. Walcott has had a good season IMO. You obviously see more of Rosiscky than me, but again thought he was lazy last night and why oh why do you play a talent like Cazorla wide on the left when you were crying out for someone like him in the middle.

Cazorla is given free reign IMO - he created four goals last night, one from a corner on the left, one from a cross from the right, one through the middle and one from a ball from the left - pretty flexible is Santi! Don't forget we've got Jack Wilshere to come through the middle - next season we's gonna be great!
I like the fact that more than one person is scoring goals - we've had our Ian Wright days of course, Thierry Henry was pretty potent too but it's good that more people are looking to score and it's not just a "feed-him" situation every time you go forward. I'm a big Podolski fan, he's been carrying an injury but there's something lethal about him in or around the box and he combines extremely well with Cazorla. The future looks bright............
