Hot tickets

I'm going to see David Sanborn and Bob James at the Montreux Jazz Festival on Wednesday 18th July, followed by Marcus Miller on the final night four days later (where I'm hoping Sanborn might show up to jam) following which, on 24th July I'll be at Ronnie Scott's in Soho to see The Wynton Marsalis Quintet. It doesn't get much better than that for this old jazz fiend - a visit back to the earlier years followed by a great jazz standard-bearer in his pomp. That'll make up for the lousy weather!
