Suarez
I just cannot believe that The Arsenal would sign him.
He's a very good player but not available for the first six games cos he tried to take a chunk out of someone, for the second time in his career.
No. I can't have it that this is any more than a bit of fencing with Real Madrid in an attempt to get Higuain.

Re: Suarez
I was just about to post the same thing Jak. Suarez to Arsenal....really? I just can't see it, he is a total liability albeit a talented one. It would represent a massive gamble for me, the press are into him already as are all opposing fans and I don't think Wenger can persuade him not to be a bell-end.

Re: Suarez
Ian Wright was a prick but delivered on the pitch. Tony Adams was a drunken prick who managed to get himself sent down whilst club skipper. Fundamentally it comes down to what they do on the pitch and Suarez is a top class player. A few goals and he'd be a hero.

Re: Suarez
It's all a bit confusing. I thought we were in for Higuain, we'd done the deal and it was just awaiting confirmation. Then their President (Perez?) states that Real Madrid haven't received an enquiry for the player (which I don't believe). Meanwhile Real Madrid are interested in Suarez (apparently) and we also make a move for him. I'm hoping that's just a manœuvre to get Real Madrid moving to sign Suarez so that we can take Higuain but who knows?
Now ManU are chasing Fabregas - if he's available why wouldn't we take him back (I certainly wouldn't want to see him at another English club)? There's also the Rooney business - I dunno. Much as I appreciate Suarez is a clever player technically he comes with a lot of baggage (not to mention a 6-match ban) and in an ideal world I wouldn't want us signing a player who has rascist tendencies and likes to bite people! Rooney is also a good player but we should have signed him back when he was a youngster, I think there's too much water under the bridge now. I'd be happy if/when we get Higuain - but, as I say it's all got a touch confusing.

Suarez is a fruit cake but he is a class player.
If you signed him, which I dont think you will as if he leaves Liverpool I think he will go abroad, you would all be cheering him if he managed to drag you up the table to 3rd Just kidding, if he took you to challange for the title. :)

Ray Parlour was saying this morning he thinks it is more to do with the wages that is Arsenals problem. If they bring someone in on massive wages, the star players there will want parity

Going off topic a bit, but apparently at Barcelona, there is a lot of unrest as Neymar has been brought in on more money than anyone else, Messi etc. Considering he's never done anything in Europe it seems a bit strange.

Re: Suarez
Who knows what goes on at these clubs these days but imagine - it's not like the '60's "Oooh Johnny Haynes is on £100 a week!" (gasp, horror) - nowadays it's "So-and-so is on £150,000 a week but we've just signed XX and he's getting £250,000 a week"! It's not as if that's all, these players pick up serious amounts of money for wearing certain shoes, sports clothing or shaving with such-and-such razors or driving an XYZ car. I find it hard to believe, therefore that a new player - a new "Star" - arriving at a club should create such a problem of jealousy. If you ain't gettin' yours tell your Mr.15% to pull his finger out - thats it!

Re: Suarez
The problem with Suarez is that if (when) he errs once more, he's gonna get the book AND the bookcase thrown at him.
He is a really good player who would suit The Arsenal's style BUT £40M? I just don't see Wenger going near a gamble like that.

Re: Suarez
You boys seem to be labouring in the transfer market again..
Higuain deal is stalling.. Jovetic ( who could become a star in the prem ) has gone to Man City and i don't think you will pull out the 40M plus to sign Suarez..
Hopefully you will buy players after you have played us

Re: Suarez
£40M and a penny bid in for Suarez in then
Why didn't Arsenal utilize this money and bring quality in other areas when they had a just as good striker if not better in RvP just 12 months ago...

Re: Suarez
I just don't believe that Arsenal are bidding that amount for Suarez.
He's an excellent player, but he is also a nutcase and Arsenal to nearly treble their transfer record on him? I don't see it.
