Well, a draw in Germany was enough to put us out of the CL - now for the interesting stuff! Tottingham and Chelski up next!

Re: As it stands
1-0 to The Arsenal! I'll happily settle for that but, with Rosicky scoring so early I thought we'd go on to a 4-0 annihilation, instead it was an all-our-yesterdays George-Graham-style win.
Now folks we have a big'n to ponder. A win in Fulham against Chelski next weekend would be very nice (and a surprise for everyone). Can we do it? Yes we can - come on Arsenal!

Re: As it stands
Well, we've "done it" alright - Jeeeeeeesus!
OK, you can say we're only being fair to the competition on a more-or-less equal footing - we shipped goals in Manchester, then in Liverpool so why not give Chelsea the same treatment, eh? Fair's fair and all that!
Other than that, what an effin crock of sh!te that non-performance was. We was crap wiv a capital K! No redeeming features, nobody escapes from that lot, not the manager nor any of his players - total crap.
Great to be a Gooner! Nice if we could take revenge on our next two opponents, Swansea and Citeh but who knows with this lot? Who knows who will turn up, cos nobody did at Stamford Bridge and that's a fact! An effin disgrace!

Re: As it stands
Well, the performance against Swansea wasn't up to much. Of course we should have won (I was waiting for the third goal when that comedy equaliser went in) but we didn't and that's the problem now. I'm not sure how the situation is going to change for the better in the coming weeks since, apparently we can't expect to see Wilshere, Ozil, Ramsey or Koscielny for a while yet and, of course Walcott and Diaby can be forgotten for the remainder of the season. How to get this lot playing again, with confidence - that's the question? It all looked like hard work for tired legs out there last night. A sad end to what had been a pretty interesting league season - OK, there's the FA Cup but again, who knows what might happen there?

Re: As it stands
That's another thing, season after season players take a knock and "it's not too bad, he'll be out for two weeks", three weeks later it's "he's suffered a setback" and they're out for months, time and time again.
We might be better employing a bleedin' witch doctor!!!!!!

Re: As it stands
Citeh up next then, eh? Clearly another win for the rampant Noisy Neighbours from Manchester - clearly Arsenal can't compete so that's it then, eh?
I'm just hoping my original 2-1 prediction comes true (I made it after we'd lost 3-6 at their place) - wouldn't that be nice?

Yeh - pity we couldn't nick a second goal - still, draw was a fair result I suppose, now it's up to Liverpool to screw up against the Spuds, eh? No, only joking - I know that the Spuds ain't up to it, even though their dipstick manager claims the pressure is on Liverpool!

Re: As it stands
Our best team is good enough to beat the best. Our squad is too thin to win a big trophy.
Need a stronger more physical CM than Arteta. Need a speedier more ruthless striker.
Need better back up than Vermaelen at CB.
Also and more controversially, a better goalkeeper.

Same OLD story lads..
everyone keeps pre warning you lot but Wenger doesn't get it..
You look like finishing 4th AGAIN..
Man City buy Fenadhinio.. Chelsea buy Matic.. While Wenger thinks Kallstrom will solve your problems
Arsenal have blown a huge chance of winning the title this season..

Re: As it stands
I do think, injuries aside and remembering we're missing a complete midfield, plus in Walcott a strike threat. We are much better this year than last. Let's hope we're busy in the summer months. We're not far away now.

Yep, the Specialist In Failure looks like doing what he does best. Failing. Again.

"Failing", as in "not succeeding" I suppose. So if, as Mme Mourinho said, Arsene Wenger is a "specialist in failure" what of all the other managers of football teams, world-wide? For example, every season in the Premier League 19 managers fail to win the title. Some fail more than others of course because 3 are managers of teams that are relegated unless, of course 1 of them has won one of the cups, FA or League. So, in England, which of these managers are "Specialists" I wonder. The ones who consistently have their teams relegated, the ones whose team just avoids relegation, the ones who are always managers of teams that finish mid-table? Or are these latter managers "successes" because they avoid relegation? It's all so complicated really unless you take into account who is making the statement about failure, a manager reacting to Arsene Wenger talking about "fear of failure" which is another thing altogether. Mme Mourinho didn't recognise the difference and, OK, his English isn't, perhaps the best so he may be forgiven for suggesting that Arsene Wenger is a specialist in failure but I do rather think that those of us who understand the language should restrain themselves from appearing to be such awful effing bores, don't you?

Today's game is going to be a good'n. Good for us, I hope as it will help to keep the space between us'n them and put us in the right frame of mind for the cup semi-final next week. Happy days ahead, I trust and a good performance today would be very much appreciated - come on Arsenal!
